The Pacific University men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up the opening weekend of action against Northwest Conference foes with a dual against Whitworth.
The Boxers were led by
Hannah Brandow, who led a one-two finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.91) just ahead of teammate
Alex Winslow (1:07.87). Brandow took second in the 400-yard IM with a time of 5:02.93. Plus,
Maya Okamura was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.31) just ahead of teammate
Julia Crumb, who was third in 1:17.21. The Boxers'
Kimberly Garcia took second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.04 and in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.30.
On the men's side,
Hung Huynh was third in the 1650-yard freestyle (18:21.50) and 400-yard individual medley (4:31.81). Plus,
Aukai Kea was third in the 50-yard freestyle (22.97) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.36).
In two weeks, Pacific will host the University of Puget Sound on Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.
