Senior Nate Olowo (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) scored 18 points and grabs 12 rebounds for his eighth double double in a 70-64 loss to Willamette in the Stoller Center on Friday night.

Olowo shot an efficient 9-for-11 from the field and tallied three blocks and three steals en-route to his 15^th career double-double. Also in double figures for the Boxers (11-11, 5-8 NWC) was sophomore Davis Holly (Bend, Ore.) who scored 17 points and handed out six assists for the sixth time this season and senior Jay Merriweather (Buena Park, Calif.), who added 12 points in a reserve role. The Boxers shot 45.9 percent from the field for the game and outscored the Bearcats' bench by a 16-6 margin, while also outscoring the Bearcats in the paint 42-15. 
 
The Willamette (10-12, 5-8 NWC) attack was led by a pair of double double peformances. Jordan Jenkins totaled 22 points and 13 rebounds and Nico Troplent had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Bearcats, plus Nathan Sherfey scored 13 points. The Bearcats held a 41-35 rebounding advantage in the contest and shot 39.7 percent from the field.

Pacific shot a staggering 50 percent from the field in the first half, however Willamette used a 13-2 first half run to gain a four-point advantage at halftime. The Bearcats opened the second half on a 6-0 run on back-to-back three-pointers to gain their largest lead of the night - 10 points. The Boxers battled back with an 8-2 run midway through the period, which featured an Olowo alley-oop dunk off an assist from senior Chris Evans (Seaside, Calif.). Willamette used a 9-3 run to close out the game to seal the victory. 
 
Pacific will travel to Tacoma, Wash. for their next contest against Puget Sound on Saturday, Feb. 10. at 6 p.m.
