The Pacific men's and women's swimming team started the dual meet portion of its schedule when they hosted Whitman at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center on Friday night.
The Pacific women were led by freshman
Julie Abrigonde led the Boxers in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing second in a time of 1:01.29. Plus, she was third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.84.
Also for the Boxers, sophomore
Hannah Brandow took second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.75) and third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.16). Plus, junior
Kimberly Garcia took third in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.70).
On the men's side, the Boxers had a pair of runner-up finishes. Leading the way was freshman
Josh Joireman, who was second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.03). Sophomore
Hung Huynh took home second-place honors in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.71)
Next, Pacific will host Whitworth on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
