The Pacific University men's and women's swimming teams hosted Lewis & Clark for a dual meet on Saturday at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center.
The day started with the Boxers women's 400-yard medley relay team of
Hannah Brandow,
Julie Abrigonde,
Lauren McWilliams,
Kimberly Garcia, winning in a time of 4:17.25.
Brandow won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:07.37, edging out her Pioneers' counterpart by 67-hundredths of a second. She led a one-two finish by the Boxers in the 200-yard backstroke, winning in 2:15.42 and
Maggie Stevenson was second in 2:41.19.
Abrigonde won the 200-yard individual medley in a season-best time of 2:14.42 by just over nine seconds and 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:34.25.
The Boxers' took second and third in the 200-yard butterfly by McWilliams (2:28.66) and
Julia Crumb (2:31.19). Garcia won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.89 and was second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27.31.
On the men's side,
Hung Huynh was second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.13) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.75).
Josh Joireman was second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.48) and set a season-best in the 100-yard freestyle (49.91).
