Freshman
Julie Abrigonde led the Pacific women's swimming team in the dual meet against Whitworth at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center on Saturday.
She established a season-best, winning the 100-yard freestyle (55.50), plus she was second in the 200-yard individual medley with a season-best time of 2:17.01. Teammates
Hannah Brandow took second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.25) and 200-yard backstroke (2:16.40), plus
Kimberly Garcia was third in the 50-yard freestyle (27.79).
A pair of Boxers set three season-best marks including
Julia Crumb in the 500-yard freestyle (6:00.80), 200-yard breaststroke (2:49.43) and 200-yard butterfly (2:34.90) and
Maggie Stevenson in the 100-yard freestyle (1:04.90), the 200-yard freestyle (2:21.51) and 500-yard freestyle (6:21.40).
On the men's side, they were led by freshman
Josh Joireman, who established a season-best in the 50-yard freestyle (23.04) tying for second-place and he was third in the 100-yard freestyle (50.11).
Ethan Hunter established three season-best marks in the 100-yard freestyle (59.21), 100-yard backstroke (1:09.44) and 200-yard backstroke (2:33.23).
In two weeks, Pacific will travel to face Puget Sound (Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.) and host Lewis & Clark (Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m.)
