FOREST GROVE, Ore.- Pacific suffered their first loss Saturday night in a non-conference matchup against Westmont.
The visitors from Santa Barbara came to the Stoller Center with a 5-1 record and were able to outshoot the Boxers making three more three-pointers on the evening.
Top Performers
- Truman Young led the way for the Boxers with 16 points in 30 minutes played.
- Antoine Stitt had an efficient night from the floor shooting 6-7 on his way to a career high 14 points.
- Lucas Winkler dished out 6 assists in the game from the point guard position.
How It Happened
Westmont jumped out to an early 9-4 lead off of three of the first four baskets coming in the paint. The Boxers responded and took the lead before the 12-minute media following back-to-back three pointers from
Ethan Moss and
Truman Young. The hosts opened up an eight point lead with six minutes remaining before heading to the halftime break down two.
The second half was all the Warriors from Westmont only relenting the lead once in the second half as they pulled away for the 84-74 win.
