PORTLAND, Ore.- Pacific dropped the final game of the two-game season series Saturday afternoon against Multnomah. With the 105-85 loss the Boxers split the season series with the Lions.
The Lions used their size well against the Boxers outrebounding them 52-38 for the game even though the two teams were even with 16 each on the offensive end.
Top Performers
- Truman Young led the Boxers on the offensive end with 15 points off the bench.
- Lucas Winkler was a defensive force at the point guard position grabbing three steals and one block.
- Ethan Moss and Zachary Bates each collected seven rebounds in the game.
How It Happened
The Boxers opened up the game forcing a turnover on the offensive end before scoring the first basket of the game from an
Ethan Moss jumper. Over the next six minutes the Lions opened the game up going on a 23-8 scoring run.
Pacific would battle back closing the Multnomah lead to single digits with 12:18 remaining in the first half following an offensive rebound and putback from
Jared Cattell. The hosts would not let the game get any tighter than that as they closed the half with a 25-point lead, 57-32.
The second half was all Lions with the lead never getting tighter than 15 points on the way to the 105-85 non-conference win.
