FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific Softball struggled on Saturday afternoon as George Fox picked up the 13-0 victory to win the series. The fourth and final game of the series was postponed due to inclement weather.
The Boxers mustered just four hits on the day against Bruins' ace Ashley Davis.
Jordyn Moullet-Dozier (Sophomore/Sherwood, OR) earned her first start of the year and recorded her first hit in a Pacific uniform.
How It Happened
George Fox scored without recording a hit in the first inning, using two walks and two hit-by-pitches to open the scoring. The visitors used two hits and a walk to push two more runs across in the second.
In the top of the fourth, the Bruins broke the game open with 10 runs in the inning to put the game out of reach.
Carli Zanassi (Freshman/Bothell, WA) made her first career appearance in the circle, tossing the final two innings of the contest.
After the conclusion of the game, heavy rain began to fall in the Forest Grove area and the series finale was postponed.
