Eight Boxers Named All-Northwest Conference

HILLSBORO, Ore.- Eight Boxers of Pacific Baseball received All-Northwest Conference honors after leading their team to their second straight NWC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth.

Isaac Lovings, Ryan Krout, Will Clark, and Kahi Bisho were named First Team All-NWC while Damon Tanner and Patrick Muskat were Second Team selections. Brad Altomare and Tyler Quinn received Honorable Mention recognition.
 
Isaac Lovings (Senior/Beaverton, OR) was one of the most feared hitters in the conference, slashing .325/.418/.583. for an OPS of 1.001. He hit 12 doubles, nine home runs, racked up 37 RBI, and led the team in walks with 23. Lovings was one of two Boxers to play in all 41 games, making 40 starts on the year. The catcher was extremely valuable behind the plate, throwing out 10 of a possible 17 base stealers. Lovings was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week on Mar. 16 when he went 10-for-16 with three home runs and three doubles in Pacific's sweep of Whitworth.
 
Ryan Krout (Senior/Washougal, WA) broke the program record for the most doubles in a career during his senior campaign, as he has now set the new mark at 44. He has mashed a team-high 10 home runs, 13 doubles, and 97 total bases. Krout leads the conference in RBI (50) and at-bats (167). He was the only Boxer to start all 41 games as he earns All-Conference recognition for the second consecutive season. 
 
Will Clark (Junior/Boise, ID) lands himself First Team recognition in back-to-back years as the 2021 NWC Pitcher of the Year was second in the conference for wins (6). He received back-to-back NWC Pitcher of the Week awards (Mar. 21, Mar. 28) and posted 21 straight scoreless innings over a four-game span. Clark led Pacific in innings pitched (60.2) and strikeouts (60).
 
Kahi Bisho (Senior/Honolulu, HI) was the hero on Championship Sunday of the NWC Postseason Tournament, pitching three innings of hitless baseball to close game seven and send Pacific to the NCAA Tournament. He was fourth in the conference in ERA (2.52), third in opposing batting average (.213), and third in earned runs allowed (15). Bisho fanned 53 hitters and pitched the second-most innings on the team with 53.2.
 
Damon Tanner (Sophomore/El Dorado Hills, CA) was extremely productive in 2022, hitting .302 with 10 doubles, two triples, and six home runs. He was one of five Boxers to play in 39 or more games. Tanner was second on the team with 34 runs scored and posted 71 total bases on the year. The speedy centerfield was perfect in stolen base attempts, going 9-for-9 on the year. On Mar. 13, Tanner blasted three home runs in a game, racking up eight RBI in the Boxers' win over Whitworth.
 
Patrick Muskat (Redshirt Freshman/Beaverton, OR) was a huge presence at the designated hitter position where he hit five home runs and five doubles. He tied for the team high with 23 walks. Muskat led the Boxers to a huge 14-3 over George Fox on April 15 when he launched two home runs including a grand slam in the third inning.
Brad Altomare (Senior/San Ramon, CA) was one of Pacific's most reliable players, starting 39 games at second base for the Boxers. He hit four doubles, three triples, and a home run while registering 15 RBI. Altomare made just two errors on the year in 210 total chances, turning 23 double plays which puts him at fourth in the NWC. He came through with the walk-off squeeze bunt in Pacific's win over Pacific Lutheran in the first round of the postseason tournament, helping the Boxers to their second straight tournament title.
 
Tyler Quinn (Junior/Mililani, HI) was another huge reason for Pacific's success in 2022, starting 39 games at both third base and catcher for the Boxers. He hit .329 on the year with nine doubles, two triples, and five homers. Quinn drove in 33 runs which is third best on the squad and led the team in runs scored with 35.
