Truman Young three as well as a jumper by
Isaiah Africano on the ensuing possession. The Boxers would get the deficit down to 11 points before Whitworth closed out the half on an 18-3 run.
The second half would be more of the same as the host Pirates were able to respond to any offensive run the Boxers had attempted. Whitworth was able to put the game away for good as they produced a 27-2 run in the second half on the way to the 91-48 win.
