Pacific opened the Ken Schumann Classic Friday night with a dominating 100-58 victory over Portland Bible.
The Boxers, who never trailed in the game, raced out to a 20-3 lead with 14:56 remaining in the first half and led 54-24 at intermission. Pacific then opened the second half on an 11-0 run.Â
The Boxers largest lead was 48 points, 83-35, with 9:49 remaining in the game.Â
Pacific's starters spent most of the game on the bench cheering on the second and third units as 18 Boxers saw action.Â
Devin Fortune had 12 points and three rebounds in just seven minutes.
Lucas Winkler recorded six steals and four assists in only nine minutes.Â
The Pacific bench scored 75 points.
Gabe Abbott finished with 13 points and six rebounds.
Brody Baumgartner had 12 points and five rebounds.
Truman Young added 11 points.
The Boxers shot 48.8 percent from the field. Portland Bible shot 50 percent but had 33 turnovers. Pacific also outrebounded the Arrows 39 to 26.Â
Next, the Boxers will host Colorado College Saturday night in the final game of the Ken Schumann Classic.Â
