Boxers knock out Northwest Indian College

Pacific rolled to a 119-71 victory over Northwest Indian College Thursday afternoon in the Stoller Center. 

Devin Fortune posted a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds in the win. 

Leading by just one point, 28-27, with 8:08 remaining in the first half, the Boxers outscored Northwest Indian 18-2 to take control of the game. Pacific extended its lead to 56-35 at halftime.

The Boxers continued to add to their lead in the second half. A Truman Young 3-pointer put Pacific up 73-42 with 16:13 remaining. Young finished with 17 points.

Lucas Winkler had 13 points, nine assists, five rebounds and four steals. Brenden Lapierre added 13 points, five rebounds and three steals off the bench.

The Boxers shot 50 percent from the field as a team, including 48.6 percent from the 3-point arc. 

Next, Pacific plays at Walla Walla University on Saturday before hosting Puget Sound in Northwest Conference action on Jan. 5.
