FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University Men's Basketball team earned a hard fought 86-75 win over Pacific Lutheran on Friday night inside the Stoller Center.

Prior to the contest the Boxers took the time to honor the seven seniors that are graduating and played their last game inside the Stoller Center.

- Lucas Winkler had a performance for the ages scoring 24 points while handing out 11 assists with zero turnovers.
- Ethan Chung concluded his home career with 16 points and collecting four rebounds.

How It Happened

The Lutes seemed as though they were ready to make this a quick game over the first three and a half minutes opening up a 10-4 lead. They were able to stretch it to nine points with 10:57 remaining before
Dimitri Cohen converted a shot from downtown to end the scoring run. With 7:06 remaining in the opening half,
Lucas Winkler was able to convert a jump shot giving the Boxers their first lead of the game. Pacific was able to stretch it to a nine-point lead before taking a 36-32 lead into the halftime break.

The Boxers opened up the second half scoring nine unanswered points to take a 13-point lead in the first three minutes of the half. The Lutes were able to close their deficit to single digits but that was not enough as the Boxers opened a 54-41 lead with 12:43 remaining. Pacific kept the pressure on opening up a 69-52 lead on the way to the 86-75 NWC win. In the game the Boxers scored 26 points off of Lute turnovers.

The Boxers head to Newberg tomorrow for a 6 P.M. game against George Fox to conclude the 2022-23 season. With a win the Boxers have the potential to tie for fourth place in the NWC standings however they will not make the conference tournament due to the tiebreakers that have already been established.
