Pacific remained on fire Friday night, rolling to a 74-40 victory over Whitworth inside the Stoller Center.
Trailing 16-12 with 2:03 remaining in the first period, the Boxers closed the quarter on an 8-0 run and then outscored Whitworth 23-9 in the second period to take control of the game.Â
After extending its lead to 64-30 entering the fourth quarter, Pacific emptied its bench and all 16 Boxers saw action in the game.
Brilie Kovaloff had 16 points, four rebounds and three steals to lead Pacific.
Sydney Gray finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists. Lindsey Barden added nine points off the bench. The Boxers finished with 25 bench points.Â
Pacific shot just 38.4 percent from the field but took advantage of 27 Whitworth turnovers.Â
After losing at Whitman to open Northwest Conference play on Dec. 1, the Boxers have won eight straight conference games.Â
Next, Pacific hosts Whitman in the rematch on Saturday at 4 p.m. inside the Stoller Center.Â
