But the Boxers could not carry the momentum into the extra period, falling 78-73 to visiting Hardin-Simmons Wednesday afternoon in the Stoller Center.
McGee finished with 11 points, two rebounds and two assists off the bench. Pacific junior
Shaade Williams recorded a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Ava Cook led the Boxers in scoring with 14 points to go along with six rebounds and three steals.
Lindsay Barden provided 13 points, five assists and three rebounds.Â
Pacific got off to a fast start, outscoring the Cowgirls, who entered the week 5-0 and ranked No. 21 in the NCAA Division III Top 25 Women's Basketball Coaches Association Poll, 22-15 in the first period.
The Boxers stretched their lead to 13 points in the second period and went into halftime ahead 39-31.
Hardin-Simmons cut the Pacific lead to four points at the end of the third quarter and then took a 54-53 lead with 8:45 remaining in the game.
The Cowgirls led by seven points, 64-57, with 2:54 left to play. But Pacific finished regulation on a 8-1 run to send the game to overtime.
Hardin-Simmons outscored the Boxers 13-8 in overtime.
Next: Pacific plays an exhibition game at Western Oregon on Dec. 12 and then hosts Washington and Lee on Dec. 15 at 4 p.m.
