TACOMA, Wash. -- Puget Sound entered Saturday's men's basketball game a perfect 8-0 at home. But the Loggers hadn't hosted Pacific yet.
With four players scoring in double figures, the Boxers defeated Puget Sound 77-69 to improve to 6-6 in the Northwest Conference.
Lucas Winkler finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and six steals.
Devin Fortune recorded 14 points and six rebounds.
Jake Blazona had 14 points and four rebounds.
Lucas Gray added 14 points, four rebounds and two steals off the bench.
After nine ties and 11 lead changes in the first half, Pacific went into halftime up 38-36 and never trailed in the second half. The Boxers extended their lead to as many as 16 points, 62-46, on a Blazona 3-pointer with 10:18 remaining in the game.
Pacific went 20-for-25 from the free throw line. Gray was a perfect 6-for-6.
Next, the Boxers play at Willamette (12-8, 7-5) on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
