MEDFORD -- Pacific opened the 2024 softball season Sunday with a 10-1 loss to Oregon Tech.
Trailing 5-0, Pacific first baseman
Carli Zanassi doubled down the right field line with two outs in the top of the sixth inning. Shortstop
Kayla Kodani then doubled to left field to drive in pinch runner
Kaiya Tom for the Boxers first run of the season.
But the Owls responded with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.Â
Kodani was 2-for-3 for Pacific. Right fielder
Ellie Ishikawa was 1-for-1 with a walk. Third baseman
Addison MacPherson walked and stole a base for the Boxers.Â
Pacific left six runners on base in the loss.Â
