SALEM, Ore. -- Pacific's men's tennis team defeated Willamette 6-3 Friday afternoon to improve to 2-0 in the Northwest Conference.
The Boxers won four of six singles and two of three doubles matches.
Aidan Rooney edged Velibor Mladenovic 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
Dawson Hose topped Quentin Nigbur 6-4, 6-4 at 3 singles.
Jonathan Nguyen won 6-4, 7-5 at 4 singles and
Alexander Kinoshita came away with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at 5 singles.
Hose and Nguyen defeated Nigbur and Andrew Kabacy 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Rooney and Kinoshita topped AJ Avansino and Zack Olander 8-3 at 2 doubles.
Next, Pacific travels to southern California to play four matches over four days, beginning against Occidental College in Los Angeles on March 23. The Boxers then resume conference play on March 30 at Whitman.
