MCMINNVILLE – The Pacific men's tennis team improved to 3-2 in the Northwest Conference, toppling rival Linfield 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
The Boxers secured the doubles point as
Alexander Kinoshita and
Joshua Dela Cruz won 6-3 at No. 2 and Steel Toguchi and
Lucas Fuhrmann eked out a 7-6 victory at the 3 spot.
Pacific then went 4-2 in singles play. Dela Cruz and
Jonathan Nguyen both won in straight sets at 1 and 3 singles.
Dawson Hose and Fuhrmann battled to hard fought three-set victories at 4 and 5 singles.
The Boxers have won 20 straight matches against Linfield, dating back to 2011.
