Pacific will play in the Northwest Conference Men's Tennis Tournament.
The Boxers clinched their spot Saturday afternoon with a 5-4 win over Linfield at the Holce Tennis Courts in Forest Grove.
Freshman
Alexander Kinoshita clinched the overall match for Pacific, defeating Cameron Paulsen 7-6, 6-7, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
Kinoshita has won 7 of his last 8 matches, improving his overall record to 28 wins and 15 losses, tying Reyn Miyagawa for the second highest singles wins by a freshman in Pacific history.
Kinoshita also partnered with
Aidan Rooney to record an 8-3 victory at 2 doubles. Rooney swept Haven Hepton 6-1, 6-1 at 5 singles.
Pacific's
Dawson Hose and
Jonathan Nguyen defeated Seth Lee and Rogue Stone 8-6 at 1 doubles. Nguyen also topped Stone 6-4, 6-1 at 2 singles.
The Boxers improved to 4-1 in the Northwest Conference with the team victory.
Next, Pacific hosts George Fox on Saturday, April 13 in its final home match of the spring.
