TACOMA, Wash. -- The Pacific men's basketball team could not be stopped in the second half.
The Boxers finished with 64 points, shooting 59.46 percent from the field on their way to a 101-90 Northwest Conference victory Friday at Puget Sound.
The 101 points are the most Pacific has scored in a conference game since defeating Willamette 106-84 on Jan. 14, 2023.
Three Boxers scored more than 20 points in the win, including senior
Devin Fortune, who led Pacific with 27 points and five rebounds. Senior
Jake Blazona finished with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Sophomore
Anthony Hrboka added a career-high 24 points in 22 minutes off the bench.
The Boxers trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half. Down 40-37 at halftime, Pacific took a 49-47 lead on a
Anthony Gehring layup with 15:34 remaining and never looked back, extending its advantage to 16 points with 3:16 to go.
The Boxers hot shooting included making 8 of 15 3-pointers in the second half. Pacific also went 12-for-14 from the free throw line.
The Boxers improved to 3-1 in the NWC and 8-5 overall.
