TACOMA, Wash. -- The Pacific women's basketball team finally found its offense in the fourth quarter.
But it was too little, too late for the Boxers, who fell 61-50 Saturday night at Pacific Lutheran.
Pacific, who made just 2 of 14 shots in the first quarter and was held to only seven points, trailed 31-17 at halftime.
After the Lutes took their largest lead of the game, 49-29, with 1:16 remaining in the third period, a 3-pointer by Pacific senior
Emily Holsan got the Boxers within eight points, 58-50, with 1:09 to go in the game. But that's as close as Pacific would get in the second half.
Junior
Ava Cook had 11 points and three rebounds to lead the Boxers. Junior
Lindsay Barden added 10 points and four rebounds in the loss.
Next: Pacific hosts Lewis & Clark on Friday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.
