Turner places fourth at Mike Clock Open

Pacific senior TJ Turner added a fourth-place finish at the Mike Clock Open to his growing awards list.

After winning by a 17-7 major decision in the 125-pound quarterfinals on Sunday, Turner was on the other end of a major decision in the semifinals. But the Pacific senior regrouped to defeat Cal Poly Humboldt's Garen Kishishian 9-4 in the consolation semifinals before getting pined by Southern Oregon's Kyle Sieminski in the third-place match.

Also wrestling at 125 pounds, Pacific freshman Garrett Head reached the quarterfinals in his first Mike Clock Open. Head pinned his way to the quarterfinals, where he ran into Oregon's State's Hunter Taylor, who won by tech fall and then went on to win the 125 championship.

Head was then eliminated from the tournament with another tech fall in the consolation bracket.

Next: The Boxers will wrestle at Linfield on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.
