WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Down 10 points with 14:27 remaining, the Pacific men's basketball team battled back to take a five point lead with 5:34 to go.
But the Boxers could not hold on, falling 76-69 Saturday at Whitman in a game that had 11 ties and 10 lead changes.
After
Devin Fortune knocked down a 3-pointer to put Pacific on top 63-58, Whitman outscored the Boxers 18-6 the rest of the way.
Fortune finished with 23 points and eight rebounds to lead the Boxers.
Wilfrid Nado, getting his first start, had a season-high 19 points.
Anthony Hrboka added 14 points off the bench.
Next: The Boxers host Pacific Lutheran on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. for senior night.
