The Pacific men's basketball team heated up from the 3-point line at the end of a senior night battle against Pacific Lutheran, knocking down three shots from behind the arc in less than 1 minute, 30 seconds.
But the rally came too late for the Boxers, who fell 73-63 Friday night at home inside the Stoller Center.
Pacific led 21-19 with 9:45 remaining in the first half before the Lutes went on a 7-0 run to take the lead for good.
Pacific Lutheran, who led 45-32 at intermission, stretched its advantage to as many as 21 points in the second half.
Pacific senior
Lucas Winkler had a game-high 23 points in his final home game to go along with six rebounds and five steals. Senior
Devin Fortune posted a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Boxers have lost five straight games and seven of their last eight.
