Spokane, Wash. - A group of athletes from the Pacific track and field team traveled to Spokane, WA this weekend to compete at the Inland Northwest Invitational, hosted by Whitworth University and held at The Podium. It was another exciting day with lots of top ten performances, all led by Ally Hammond as she stormed her way to three more record breaking races.
Top Performers
The star of the day was none other than Ally Hammond, as she took to the track and broke three school records over two race disciplines. She started with improving her 60m hurdle record to 8.76 in the preliminary round, and broke it again in the finals with a time of 8.73. This places her first in the West Region and third in the NCAA DIII rankings for the 60m hurdles. She also is ranked first in the region for the 200m, as she raced to another school record in a time of 25.13. She is ranked 22nd in DIII for this distance.
The rest of the team had a great showing as well. Freshman
Mikell Adler qualified for the finals in the 60m hurdles as well, finished third overall in a time of 8.72 and landing himself in the second spot on our All-Time Top 10 list. Senior
Jayden Fordham had a big jump day, finishing fourth overall in the men's high jump with a mark of 1.91m, a personal lifetime best. He also finished sixth overall in the men's triple jump with a mark of 12.81m. Both of these performances place him third on the top ten list for each event. Lastly, Sophomore

"We had a very productive day with a smaller squad in Spokane," said head coach Ryan Huntersimms. "This meet was a big confidence booster for the group. They competed with a lot of poise and grit throughout the day."
