Pacific softball swept at Lewis & Clark

PORTLAND -- Pacific senior Addie MacPherson continued her hot start to the 2025 season, giving the Boxers an early lead with an RBI double in the top of the first inning and then hitting a home run to left field in the fourth.

But Pacific could not ultimately keep up with last season's Northwest Conference runner-up, losing all four games Saturday and Sunday at Lewis & Clark.

SATURDAY

Game 1

Lewis & Clark scored four runs in the bottom of the first and added five more in the fifth to defeat the Boxers 10-1.

MacPhereson had two of Pacific's three hits. The Boxers also had two errors in the loss.

Game 2

Pacific never led in a 10-4 game two loss.

The Pioneers raced out to a 7-0 lead before Ashley Ballew-McPherson drove in Ryanne Yoshimura and Alyssa Mateo with a double to left field to get the Boxers on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning.

Chloe Knepp added an RBI single in the sixth and Kimberly Ray hit a RBI double in the seventh.

SUNDAY

Game 1

Pacific scored first on a sacrifice fly to center field by sophomore Ava Hlavacek in the top of the second inning. But Lewis & Clark answered with seven runs in the bottom of the third to roll to a 9-1 victory.

The Boxers had three hits and three errors in the loss.

Game 2

Pacific again delivered the first blow as Jenna Wheeler scored on an RBI double by MacPherson in the top of the first inning. However, the Pioneers responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame, two in the second and four in the third on their way to a 10-1 win.

The Boxers had five more errors in the loss.

Pacific has lost six straight games against Lewis & Clark, including 13 of 14 dating back to the 2023 season.

Next: The Boxers host Oregon Tech on Tuesday, March 25 in a non-conference doubleheader.
