MCMINNVILLE -- Monday was moving day for the Pacific men's golf team.
Sitting at ninth in the Northwest Conference team standings after Sunday's round one, the Boxers shot a 299 in round two to climb to seventh.
Pacific carded a two-day total of 616 to finish one stroke ahead of eighth-place Whitworth in the NWC Championships at Michelbook Country lub.
Individually, Pacific sophomore
Ryan Murray shot a 153 to finish in a five-way tie for 18th. Junior
Kamas Romney (154) tied for 23rd.
Junior
Charlie Cloud (155) and
Jordan Nakamura (158) placed 27th and 34th, respectively, out of 44 golfers.
After George Fox's Truman Fletcher and Linfield's Douglas Bailey both fired a 142 to tie for low medalist, Bailey won the honor on a sudden-victory playoff.
Linfield (581) won the team championship. Willamette (597) edged Whitman (598) by one stroke to finish runner-up.
