PORTLAND -- The Northwest Conference women's 3,000-meter steeplechase belongs to Pacific.
Sophomore
Morgan Boddy became the fourth Boxer in the last five years to win the steeplechase at the NWC Track and Field Championships, finishing in 11 minutes, 19.27 seconds Saturday at Lewis & Clark.
Pacific senior
Cris Brethower placed fourth in the event in a season best time of 11:35.74.
Junior
Megan Feitz finished eighth in the women's 10,000-meter run in 39.33.84.
On the men's side,
Jarod Moren placed sixth in the pole vault, clearing a season's best 4.07 meters.
Ro'o Satta-Ellis finished seventh in the long jump with a season best mark of 6.65 meters.
In the team standings, the Pacific women are in fifth place after Day 1 of competition. The Boxer men sit in seventh.
The NWC Track and Field Championships resume Sunday at Lewis & Clark.
