PORTLAND -- Pacific opened Day 2 of the Northwest Track and Field Championships with a bang, winning the men's 4x100-meter relay in a season best 41.84 seconds Sunday at Lewis & Clark.
The Boxers were just getting started. Senior
Zion Booker, who ran on the winning relay with
Romel Moreland,
Kamron Shields and
Charles Bennett, then placed first in the 100 in a personal record 10.89 seconds. Moreland also ran a PR, finishing runner-up in 11:00.Â
After disqualifying as the favorite in the 100 hurdles, Pacific junior
Ally Hammond regrouped to win the 100 in a PR and school record time of 12.08 and then finished runner-up in the 200 in 25.11.
Pacific freshman
Mikell Adler finished runner-up in the men's 110 hurdles in 15.04 seconds. Senior
Angelica Gatica Gomez placed second in the 400 in a season best 58.63.
George Fox won both the women's and men's team championships. The Pacific women placed fifth, finishing just one point behind Lewis & Clark. The Boxer men placed sixth out of nine teams.Â

Natalie Taylor finished fourth in the women's 1500 in 4:40.62 and the 800 in 2:20.29. Booker also placed fifth in the men's 200 in 22.28.Â

Courtney Tiernan finished fifth in the women's 100 hurdles in 15.84. Shields placed fifth in the men's 400 in 50.40.Â
In field events, Pacific sophomore
Jonette Singh finished third in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.04 meters.Â
