GENEVA, Ohio -- Competing in the fastest women's 100-meter hurdles race in the history of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Pacific junior
Ally Hammond finished fifth Saturday in 13.96 seconds.
Entering the meet with the eighth fastest time this season, 14.03, Hammond again broke 14 seconds after running a 13.88 during Friday's prelims.
UMass Boston's Aryianna Garceau, who edged Hammond to win the 60-meter hurdles Outdoor National Championship in March, also captured the 100-meter hurdles Indoor National Championship in a new Division III record time of 13.54 seconds.
