Boxers bully Lutes, get first road win at Pacific Lutheran

TACOMA, Wash. – The Pacific men's basketball team earned its first road victory of the season Friday night, winning 80-60 at Pacific Lutheran.

The Boxers, who never trailed in the game, raced out to a 16-5 lead. Ahead 40-23 at halftime, Pacific opened the second half on an 8-0 run to end any threat of a Pacific Lutheran comeback. 

The Boxers led by as many as 35 points in the second half.

Junior Anthony Hrboka led Pacific with 24 points and four rebounds. Senior Anthony Gehring had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Senior Lucas Gray had 16 points, three assists and three steals. Senior Brody Baumgartner added 10 points and seven rebounds. 

The Boxers shot 51.5 percent from the field, including 54.5 from 3, making 12 off 22 attempts. 

With the win, Pacific broke a four-game losing streak and improved to 2-3 in the Northwest Conference.
