The Pacific women's basketball team could not overcome its worst shooting night of the season. The Boxers shot just 23 percent from the field Friday in a 69-44 loss to Whitworth.
The setback extended Pacific's losing streak to five and snapped an 11-game winning streak against Whitworth, dating back to 2019.
The Boxers never led in the game as Whitworth jumped out to an 8-0 advantage. Pacific trailed 38-15 at halftime after the Pirates ended the second period on a 15-2 run.
Whitworth shot 52 percent for the game, including 46 percent from 3, making 7 of 15 attempts. The Boxers finished 5 for 23 from behind the 3-point line.

Shaade Williams had 19 points and three rebounds in the loss.
