FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Thrust into action after an injury just four minutes into Friday's match, Pacific sophomore goalkeeper Izabella Duckworth stepped up with a career-high 11 saves. But Linfield's attack ultimately proved too much for the Boxers, who suffered a 4-2 Northwest Conference loss at Hanson Stadium.
The Wildcats scored just 26 seconds into the second half to take a 2-0 lead. After Pacific's Jadyn Ayano put the Boxers on the board in the 53rd minute, Linfield restored its two-goal advantage on a penalty kick in the 61st minute.
Ella Mee scored in the 76th minute to bring the Boxers within 3-2 and give them another chance to pull even. But the Wildcats answered again, scoring the final goal of the match in the 84th minute.
Pacific dropped to 3-5 in NWC play and has lost three straight conference matches.
