Pacific junior
Anthony Hrboka recorded his fifth 30-point game of the season as the Boxers held on to defeat George Fox 97-95 Tuesday night.
Playing its final home game of the season, Pacific was in control for most of the night, leading by 23 points, 81-58, with 8:09 remaining. However, the Bruins heated up from 3 late to cut the deficit to one, 95-94, with 16 seconds to go.
Leading 97-94, the Boxers fouled a George Fox 3-point shooter with 3 seconds remaining. Sydney Natche missed the first free throw. After making the second, Natche intentionally missed the third shot. The Bruins came down with the offensive rebound but missed the game-tying layup at the buzzer.
Pacific junior
Ryder Mackay had a career-high 20 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the victory.
Senior
Lucas Gray finished with 15 points. Senior
Anthony Gehring added 11 points off the bench. Senior
Brody Baumgartner had eight points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
George Fox went 9-for-19 from 3 and scored 64 points in the second half.
