SALEM – The Pacific women's basketball team ended the 2025-26 season on a high note, winning 58-55 Friday night at Willamette.
After the Boxers led by as many as 17 points in the second period, Willamette got within four entering the fourth quarter. The Bearcats then took a one-point advantage, 45-44, with 6:10 remaining. But a layup by freshman
Karina Franco gave Pacific the lead for good, 48-47, with 5:13 to go.
Franco, who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, then knocked down a 3-pointer and added a layup to stretch the Boxers lead to 53-47.
Willamette missed a game-tying 3-point attempt at the buzzer.
Sophomore
Sydney Esperanza led Pacific with 16 points and five rebounds. Senior
Lindsay Barden added eight points and 10 rebounds.
The Boxers finished the season 5-11 in the Northwest Conference and 10-15 overall.
