TACOMA, Wash. – After struggling at the plate in a 3-1 loss in its Northwest Conference opener, the Pacific softball team erupted for 14 hits in Game 2 to defeat Puget Sound 13-4 in five innings on Sunday afternoon.

In the circle, Pacific junior
Kiara Baba held the Loggers to just five hits and one run over six innings.Â

Baba opened the 2026 season by throwing 17 1/3 shutout innings before allowing her first run on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Libby Hardee scored the Boxers only run of the game on an RBI double by
Kaimalino Ingram with two outs in the top of the sixth.

With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, Puget Sound won the game on a walk-off two run homer.Â

Jordan Ingram had two of Pacific's three hits in the loss.

Hardee got the Boxers off to a fast start with her first career home run in the top of the first.

Pacific added six more runs in both the third and fifth innings.

Pitching in relief,
Karlie Espinoza held Puget Sound to four hits and two runs over 4 2/3 innings to earn the win.

At the plate,
Kimberly Ray was 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs and three RBIs.Â
