NORTH PLAINS – Pacific junior Bead Boonta was named the Northwest Conference Women's Golfer of the Year on Monday.
Boonta, who placed second overall at the NWC Fall Classic and third at the Spring Classic, continued her strong 2025–26 season by finishing fourth at the NWC Championships, played Sunday and Monday at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. After shooting a 78 in round one, Boonta followed with a 77 in round two for a two-day total of 155.
By finishing in the top four, Boonta was also named First Team All-NWC, along with Whitman sophomore Camila Yoo, Lewis & Clark sophomore Ahika Jani and George Fox sophomore Samara D'Silva.
Yoo shot a 153 to win low medalist honors, edging Pacific Lutheran junior Jayda Thomas on a playoff hole.
The Boxers (671) finished fourth in the team standings behind champion George Fox (631), runner-up Whitworth (639), and third-place Lewis & Clark (657).
Pacific was led by junior Kayla Speer (170) and freshmen Faith Sampson (172) and Mielle Kavran (175).
