Pacific women finish fourth, men place sixth at NWC Track and Field Championships

SPOKANE, Wash. – From the opening gun, Ally Hammond made her mark at the 2026 Northwest Conference Track and Field Championships.

In her first event of the day, the Pacific senior broke the meet record in the 100-meter hurdles, winning in 13.91 seconds. She was just getting started.

The NWC Women's Track Athlete of the Meet, Hammond won the 100-meter dash in a season-best 12.10 and then broke the school record in the 200 with a time of 24.42 on Sunday.

The Boxers finished fourth in the final women's team standings behind NWC champion Whitworth, runner-up George Fox and third-place Willamette.

Pacific's dominance in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase continued Saturday. Freshman Ali Heinly won the event in 11 minutes, 19.25 seconds. Junior Morgan Boddy finished fourth in a season-best 11:32.83. A Pacific athlete has now won the event five times in the last six years.

After breaking the school record in the women's 10,000 meters on Saturday and finishing third in 37:20.38, senior Ria Gill also placed third in the 5,000 on Sunday in a personal-best 17:58.78.

Freshman Shaeli Sikes finished runner-up in the women's discus with a personal-best mark of 133 feet, 2 inches.

Pacific finished sixth in the NWC men's standings, where George Fox edged Whitworth for the team championship.

Senior Henry Tierney won the men's 800 meters in 1:52.54 and the 1,500 in 3:52.60, both season bests. Sophomore Peyton Fisher finished fifth in the 1,500 with a personal-best time of 3:57.60.

Sophomore Mikell Adler placed third in the men's 110-meter hurdles in a season-best 14.94 and fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in a personal-best 56.56.

Senior Kamron Shields finished fourth in the men's 400 meters in 50.60.

Next: Pacific will compete at Oregon State on May 1-2 and at Linfield on May 2.
