Hall of Fame
One of the cornerstones of the Pacific track and volleyball programs in the late 1990s, Schmitt placed third at the 1997 NWC Championships in the 400-meter hurdles and competed in the event at the 1997 NAIA Championships. She holds the Pacific record in the event and held the Pacific 800-meter record until 2008. A three-year member of the Boxers’ volleyball program at middle blocker, Schmitt led Pacific in blocks each season and holds the school single season record with 1.09 blocks per set. Schmitt was selected as a NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete in volleyball in 1995 and a NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete in track and field in 1996 and 1997.
