Bill Braun was a four-time All-Northwest Conference baseball selection, earning first team honors in 1956, 1957 and 1958. Braun never hit under .300 in his four seasons and led the 1955 Badgers with a .339 batting average. In 1958, Braun was awarded the George Risk Memorial Trophy as the team’s most valuable player after turning in a .360 batting average. Also a basketball player, Braun was a member of Pacific’s 1957 NWC championship team.
