Christian Guerra won the opening match but Simon Fraser swept the rest of the day's action during a Sunday afternoon men's wrestling dual at the Stoller Center.
The NCAA Division II team from British Columbia won five of the six matches contested to tally a team score of 23-3.
Guerra defeated Oscar Bulaqui, 13-7, to run his record to 9-12 on the season. Guerra never trailed in the match in getting the win over the Clan's top 125-pounder.
Julian Macias lost to SFU's Tanner Spray (11-3) at 157 pounds and Josh Kim of Simon Fraser pinned Pacific's
Jacob Richards (3:45) at 197. Reid Watkins won an exhibition (forfeited) match over
Owen Tau-a (17-1) at 184.
Pacific's
Tyler Howe and SFU's Tyler McLean hooked up in one of the more anticipated matches of the afternoon, with McLean outlasting the Boxer sophomore, 8-3. McLean won the Clackamas Open last month and is now 35-10 on the season. Howe dropped to 10-5 this year.
At heavyweight, the Clan's Sean Molle dispatched of Pacific
Tyler Kailiuli, 13-2. Molle also won the Clackamas Open and is now 15-8.
Pacific will next wrestle at the NCAA West Region Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., which begins on Feb. 27.
