ResultsTACOMA, Wash. — One day after a taxing, hard fought loss to conference leader Whitman, the Pacific men's tennis team rebounded with a 9-0 sweep of host Pacific Lutheran on Saturday afternoon at the Sprinker Recreation Center.
The Boxers, ranked eighth in the NCAA Division III west region, improved to 15-3 overall with the victory and to 9-1 in Northwest Conference action. PLU is now 1-10 on the year and 1-6 in NWC action.

Brian Jackson mixed up his line-up a bit, in part to give rest to a number of players that played long singles and doubles matches on Friday during a 7-2 loss to Whitman.
Reuben Mulhern played No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-2),
Chris Dalton won at No. 2 (6-1, 6-1) and
Josh Bernstein picked up the victory on court three (6-3, 6-3)
Sage Katayama had the longest match of the day at No. 4, topping D.J. Pekoc, 6-2, 4-6, 10-6.
Nyles Moisson won on court five (6-0, 6-4) and
Wesley Upton took care of business at No. 6 (6-3, 6-0). Pacific's top three singles players (
Brennan Faith,
Clark Wininger and
Oscar Wight) sat out singles play.
In doubles action, Faith and Wininger improved to 11-2 on the season with a win at No. 1 (8-4). Mulhern and
Ben Ryweck scored victory on court two (8-3), and
Griffin Fraser and Dalton closed out the scoring on court three, 8-5.
Pacific will get a long rest period between matches, off until April 16 when they host George Fox. Start time for Senior Day will be 1 p.m.
