The Pacific University men's tennis team suffered a tough 5-4 loss to Lewis & Clark on Saturday in Forest Grove.
It was a hard-fought match between the Boxers (0-3, 0-1 NWC) and the Pioneers (2-0, 2-0 NWC) noted Pacific head coach
Brian Jackson. "This is a tough loss for us today. Lewis & Clark outplayed us in doubles and we weren't able to recover. We look forward to getting another shot at them, later in the season (Apr. 8, 2017)."
The visitors picked up wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles to start the day. The Boxers got their first win by
Clark Wininger (San Francisco, Calif.) and

After a loss at No. 3 singles, Wininger and Wight won their singles matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles to tie the match at 3. Wininger was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Raed Attia and Wight won 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 over Michael Brewer at No. 1 and 2, respectively.
