Four members of the Pacific University men's tennis team have reached the quarterfinals in the singles part of the draw at the Pacific Northwest Invitational hosted by George Fox. In addition, two doubles teams remain alive in the championship draw portion of the tournament.

Sophomore
Reyn Miyagawa, who is the No. 4 seed, reached the quarterfinals of the A draw with a pair of victories. Miyagawa began the tournament with a 2-6, 6-2, 10-3 win over Pete Gibson of George Fox. He followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 win over teammate
Rayden Murata.
Earlier in the tournament, Murata began the tournament with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Alex Namba of George Fox.

Pacific landed three of the four quarterfinals in the B Draw including sophomore
Joey Hu, who is the No. 1 seed of the B draw after a first round bye and a victory over teammate Garrett Katayama. He will face teammate
Joey Balleweg, who is the No. 4 seed, who reached the quarterfinals with a 6-3, 6-2 win over teammate Jeffrey Kubota. The third Boxer in the quarterfinals is
Koby Murata, who posted a 7-6, 6-3 win over Michael Mannion of Linfield to begin the tournament. Then, he came back with a 3-6, 6-0, 10-5 win over teammate
Cooper Rich.

In doubles action, opening round winners were the Murata brothers, who posted an 8-1 win over the Foy/Worth tandem from Linfield and Hu/Miyagawa, who won by virtue of a bye.
Saturday's action will get underway at 9:30 a.m.
