A 3-pointer by Ben College nine seconds into the contest put Whitworth to start the contest and the remainder of the game en route to a 91-78 win over Pacific men's basketball on Friday night.
Colin Rardin led the Boxers with 16, plus
Brennan McNabb and
Nick Drynan added 14 and 13 points, respectively. The 14 points are a season-high for McNabb, plus for Drynan, it is his sixth-straight game in double figures.
Pacific falls to 6-16 overall and 3-10 in the Northwest Conference.
Whitworth, who improves to 18-4 overall and 12-1 in the Northwest Conference, was able to land four players in double figures.
Plus, the Pirates shot 51.7% from the field as Lees finished the game with a game-high 17, Garrett Hull added 15, Kea Vargas scored 11 and Liam Fitzgerald had 10. Hull also had a game-high 10 rebounds for a double double effort.
Next, Pacific will travel to Walla Walla, Washington on Saturday at 6 p.m. to face Whitman.
