The Pacific University men's tennis team swept all 18 points in two matches over the weekend at Whitworth.
In match one on Saturday, the Boxers were able to claim the victory 9-0 over the Pirates. Pacific got off to a great start in doubles taking all 3 doubles matches.
Quentin Gonzalez and
Sean Murphy secured the victory at #1 doubles 8-5.
Reyn Miyagawa paired up with
Rayden Murata at #2 doubles and cruised to an 8-0 win.
Joey Hu and
Koby Murata rounded out the doubles lineup winning 8-1 in the #3 spot.

Quentin Gonzalez started off singles play strong with a 6-3, 6-2 win in the top spot.
Reyn Miyagawa and
Sean Murphy secured wins at #2 and #3 singles each going 6-1, 6-0.
Rayden Murata won 6-2, 6-0 at #4 singles to continue to add to the Boxers lead.
Joey Hu got the win at #5 singles after winning each set by a 6-1 margin. Rounding out the singles lineup was
Joey Balleweg who claimed a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Sunday's match featured the same two teams, however this match did not count toward the NWC standings. Pairing up at #1 doubles, brothers
Rayden Murata and
Koby Murata fought to an 8-5 win. #2 doubles featured
Joey Balleweg paired with
Matt Weiler, who pulled away to an 8-2 win.
Cooper Rich and
Garret Katayama rounded out the doubles lineup with another 8-2 win.

Quentin Gonzalez was up first when singles action began, playing in a tight but victorious match with a score of 6-4, 7-5.
Joey Balleweg was in the #2 spot and came away with a 6-3, 6-4 win.Â
Koby Murata was placed in the #3 singles spot and took a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
Garret Katayama played in the #4 singles position taking a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Rush Williams was able to claim the win at #5 singles after going into a tie breaking 3
rd set.
Matt Weiler rounded out the lineup at #6 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
