The Boxers were able to record history with the win Saturday ending the 36-year losing streak to the Blues. Coach Pete Yellico said following the victory, "I am so happy for our guys for battling through a tough match and securing the win. Whitman has been the team to beat for so long and I am so proud and thrilled to finally record a win over them. Kudos to Sean Murphy for clinching, he came up big in the end. We knew it was not going to be easy and every match was tough out there today. The men fought hard from the first point to the last. All the hard work being put in at practice has proven to pay off. Whitman played a great match and season. We are looking forward to seeing them again in the conference tournament."

The Boxers will next play in the NWC Tournament against Whitman on May 7th at 6 P.M. with the winner advancing to the finals.
