WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Pacific Volleyball suffered its second straight defeat after Whitman picked up the 3-1 win on Saturday night.
The Boxers hit just .142 with 23 attack errors in the contest. The Blues did just enough to edge the victory, hitting .168 as a team

- Alison Brown enjoyed an excellent performance with a team-high 14 kills while hitting an impressive .324.
- Shaianne Cambra provided 33 assists with a game-high 18 digs, notching her ninth double-double of the year.
How It Happened
Pacific led for most of the first set but Whitman rallied for five straight points to take its first lead of the match. Despite leveling the score at 21-21, the Blues would manage the 25-23 set victory.
The Boxers raced to a 5-1 advantage in the second set before squandering yet another lead. This time, Pacific showed resilience to win the back-and-forth set behind Brown's four kills.
Whitman came from behind to eventually take a hotly contested third set 28-26 and put the Boxers away with the 25-19 victory in the fourth and final set.
What It Means
The Boxers fall to 8-7 and 3-5 in NWC play. Pacific drop into a tie for sixth place in the conference standings.

Pacific travels to Newberg, Ore. on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. to take on George Fox, beginning the second round of conference competition.
