Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Boxers Knocked Off by Redhawks

FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific men's tennis team hosted Seattle University, a Division I opponent, for their first home match at the Holce Tennis Courts. The Redhawks came away with the 6-3 victory to hand the Boxers their second straight defeat.

"Really happy with the way we are coming out in doubles, getting the advantage right away," said Interim Head Coach Brian Jackson. "We have some work to do to put ourselves in a position to win in the singles matches. Some fitness and fatigue issues today, but I am really happy with the effort and I believe we will be better down the road after playing tough matches like this."

Reyn Miyagawa (Junior/Kaneohe, HI) and Mason Tran (Freshman/Irvine, CA) picked up another doubles victory at the number-one spot, taking their match 8-3.

Joey Hu (Junior/Aiea, HI) and Koby Murata (Junior/Kaimuki, HI) grabbed another point for the Boxers in the number-three spot, winning 8-4

Hu continued his fantastic weekend by defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-1.
